Flagstone Wins Gold at the 2011 Mundus Vini International Wine Awards Posted on September 22 2011 by
Flagstone lands 3 Gold Medals at the 2011 Mundus Vini Awards in Germany.
As the world's largest recognised wine competition the Mundus Vini has grown from its 2235 wine entries on debut in 2001 to over 6000 entries in 2011. Read more about the history and background to prodigious Mundus Vini awards here.
This year 1863 medals were awarded to wines entered into competition held in Germany, of which three golds belonged to Flagstone Wines. Dragon Tree Red Blend 2008, Music Room Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 and Writers Block Pinotage 2008 were all awarded coveted gold medals.
International awards give Flagstone a global yardstick to measure our hard work, practises and beliefs against, of course they also help to promote our wines to an international market of importers and consumers, and gain us some new friends on different continents. So far 2011 has seen been a magnificent year for Flagstone Wines and our trophy cabinet is beginning to reflect the passion we put into producing the lovely stuff, much more of this and we might be toasting our most successful year yet.
