The 4th Annual South African Wine Writers Award Posted on April 05 2012 by
The 4th Annual South African Wine Writers Award will be announced at the Franschhoek Literary Festival over the weekend of 11 – 13 May 2012
The award takes into consideration articles published in South Africa during 2011 or written on South African websites in 2011, the South African wine writing community is invited to submit one wine-related article per journalist. This year's panel consists of Flagstone's chief wine maker (and winner of Wine of the Month Club’s Winemaker of the Year award in 2011) Bruce Jack, John Platter (founder of the internationally respected Platter’s South African Wine Guide) and Matthew Jukes (wine columnist, voted the UK’s most influential wine writer in 2011).
The purpose of the award is to celebrate wine writing in South Africa and carries a R25,000 cash prize, entries close on April 12 2012.
