The top of our white wine repertoire, the Treaty Tree Reserve white blend is mostly barrel fermented Sauvignon and Semillon. In some years we blend in some Viognier

Pinotage is a South African signature wine variety. Like many things in this country, it can be a bit daunting when first encountered. However, with patience and understanding it is possible to master this mysterious, idiosyncratic variety. Writer’s Block is a single vineyard Pinotage bursting with intense, unique wild berry characters and unctuous, velvety drinkability.

Like any fine composition the parts need to marry harmoniously. To achieve this in a Cabernet wine takes patience, practice and a favourable season from Mother Nature. The result is a complex, blockbuster with creamy-textured tannins and a serious palate weight balanced by naturally soft acidity.

Our Flagstone Free Run has been described as the most “technical” of our wines. Technical it may be, but as with all great wine, it has to start in the vineyard. We've sourced most of our cool climate grapes from the southern most tip of Africa – a small ward called Elim.

Dragon Tree is Flagstone’s cult wine, this underground blend garners more favour from our wine making team than any other produced by Flagstone. Consistent tannin structures and a fruit burst on finish reveals this unmistakable wine’s French influence. 

Flagstone’s unpretentious blend of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier, is fondly referred to as, ‘Mom’s Plonk,’ and delivers balanced drinkability year in and year out.
